Training Facilities at The University of Melbourne
The sports centre comprises two full-size indoor netball courts, four squash courts, a yoga & Pilates studio, group fitness/cardio studio & spinning/cycling studio. The centre also provides two function & meeting spaces that are regularly used by the Club for team & Management Group meetings, video analysis, social functions & other activities as required.
The aquatic & fitness centre provides free weights, pin-loaded equipment & more than 70 pieces of cardio equipment. The space is equipped with Olympic lifting platforms & associated heavy weights, benches & racks. The centre also houses a six-lane 25 metre indoor heated pool. The majority of the Club’s strength & conditioning program take place in this facility.
The athletics track is a six-lane 400m track & is used to deliver components of the pre-season strength & conditioning program.
Training Facilities at the Artemis Center, Melbourne Girls Grammar School
The Artemis Centre is a world-class training facility and is located at the Anderson Street campus in South Yarra. The Club has access to the center on a Monday evening, where the three VNL teams train on a rotational basis.
The netball court is surrounded by contemporary mezzanine seating and open plan meeting spaces. The fitness hub is well equipped with commercial grade free weights, lifting platforms, CrossFit-style rigs, indoor cycling spin bikes and a range of supplementary training tools and testing devices. The center also boasts a heated six lane indoor 25 meter pool.
The Club will also host two home games at the Artemis Center in 2020.
